Review: Will The Luxe Organix Power Glow Gel Cream Really Give You *That* Glow?

A review of the Luxe Organix Power Gel Gream

We all want *that* glow (whatever you might call it — chok-chok, radiance, dolphin skin). So it’s no surprise how there are so many products on the market that cater to this need right now. One of those is the Luxe Organix Power Glow Gel Cream.

I’ve tried a couple of Luxe Organix products in the past and enjoyed them quite a lot. (Check out my reviews on the brand’s cleansing balm — a fave! — and sunscreen.) So I was just excited to try more of the brand’s offerings. I picked up the gel cream because it promises to give you that coveted glow but also because my face is a bit darker than my neck and I wondered if it could help with that. Did it? Read more of this review to find out!

The Luxe Organix Power Glow Gel Cream is an affordable moisturizer. But is it good?

Packaging, scent, texture

The Luxe Organix Power Glow Gel Cream is housed in a premium-looking frosted pink plastic pump bottle. (An aside: there’s just something luxurious about frosted packaging, don’t you think?) I prefer pump bottles for cream or gel products because they’re, in my opinion, easier to use and more sanitary so this is a plus for me.

The product itself has a semi-translucent white color and a fruity, floral fragrance. The scent reminds me a bit of shampoo, but in a good way. And as the product’s name suggests, it has a gel-cream texture. It’s lightweight but definitely not water-like.

Luxe Organix Power Glow Gel Cream ingredients

In case your an ingredients geek, here’s what’s inside a bottle of this product:

Galactomyces Ferment Filtrate, Water, Butylene Glycol, Cyclopentasiloxane, Glycerin, Polysorbate 20, Octyldodecanol, Carbomer, Arginine, Coceth-7, Ascorbic Acid, PPG-1-PEG-9 Lauryl Glycol Ether, Caprylyl Glycol, Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Pentylene Glycol, Sodium Polyacrylate, Olea Europaea (Olive) Leaf Extract, Ascorbyl Glucoside, Zinc PCA, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor oil, Dimethiconol, Hydroxyacetophenone, Disodium EDTA, 1,2-Hexanediol, Fragrance.

Application

I apply three pumps-worth of the product morning and night after cleansing. (I don’t use a toner, but I do apply an acid serum — currently the QuickFX Instant Facial Serum — three times a week). Putting this on is delightful. I didn’t feel any stinging or noticed any purging. The texture feels great on the skin. The scent is not cloying at all (to me); it actually smells refreshing. The product also gets absorbed quite easily. There’s no sticky or heavy residue after application. It’s a treat to use!

Should you try the Luxe Organix Power Gel Glow Cream?

Claims, final thoughts

But, of course, more than the experience, you’re here to know how the Luxe Organix Power Glow Gel Cream works.

This moisturizer is said to be ‘packed with ingredients that help nourish the skin.’ It also claims to give you glowing skin and minimize your pores with the help of galactomyces ferment filtrate and vitamin C.

Let’s match these claims one by one. Did my skin feel nourished after using this? Yes, my skin is amply hydrated and moisturized after applying this moisturizer. I noticed that my skin is also more supple prior to using this.

Did it give me *that* glow? To be fair, there isn’t one product on the planet to give everything you want for your skin? But did this help me inch closer towards my glow goals? Yes. My facial skin is still darker than my neck’s but it’s definitely much brighter now.

Did it minimize the size of my pores? No. There’s just no product on the market that can make your pores smaller. You can make them look visibly smaller through primers and makeup, but there’s no skincare product — no matter how much they promise or claim to work — that delivers long-term results. What you can do is to be more diligent with the use of acids or retinoid in your routine. But that’s for another story!

Overall, I enjoy using the Luxe Organix Power Glow Gel Cream in all aspects — from the application experience to the results I’ve gotten. I will continue using it and will definitely repurchase it once I’ve run out. (I might add the serum and toner into the mix too.)

If you want to try this moisturizer, you can grab a bottle at P379 through Shopee or Lazada.
