The Maybelline Fit Me Concealer has been on my radar for years now (and probably yours, too, if you haven’t tried it yet). Remember the peak of Beauty YouTube circa 2015-2016? So many ‘beauty gurus’ were using it!

If, by some miracle, you’re late to the party like me, here’s my Maybelline Fit Me Concealer review to help you decide whether to pick it up or not.
Packaging

The concealer comes in the usual tube with a doe-foot applicator. It has a no-nonsense feel to it, much like what the product claims to deliver. Take note, however, that this can get messy. I’m still confused as to why it would spill. Some product would leak through the portion between the applicator’s lid and the tube. So I just try my best not to store it haphazardly. It has the shade number on the body of the tube, as well as at the bottom.
Color and texture
There are now seven shades available in the Philippines. I got the one in medium, which was what the saleslady at the kiosk I purchased it from recommended. I’ve had bad experiences with salesladies before but this time was different (and I’m glad). The color is just right for my NC30 skin tone. Although I’m sure I’ll have better results if I use a color corrector before applying this.

It has a texture that is light and creamy, which many say is similar to the cult-favorite Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer. I don’t find it to be heavy when put under the eyes, which is, of course, a plus.
Application and results
I apply the product directly in my areas of concern using the applicator it comes with and blend using my fingers. I find that I need to do a couple of layers to get the coverage I want (because the circles under my eyes are just something else). When I’m wearing a full face of makeup, I set it with a powder (I’m currently using the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Diffused Light).
On days when I can’t be bothered too much, I put this on its own without setting it. It doesn’t last very long, maybe an hour or two hours tops depending on whether or not my destination (or location) has air-conditioning. I do have sweaty under eyes — weird, I know! — which contribute a lot to the product’s performance.

Let me end this Maybelline Fit Me Concealer review with a few more reasons why I like it. As someone who’s graduated from Instagram-inspired makeup, I appreciate how this has enough coverage but isn’t too thick that my under eyes look creased like an un-ironed school uniform. I also find it nice that I can use it by itself — just a few dabs and I’m good to go. But most of all, I like that it’s cheap. For P249, you get a concealer that does the job well. If you’re not one to splurge on makeup, this is definitely for you.
