A Couple Reviews The Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Cream

Here's a couple's take on the Peter Thomas Roth Hyaluronic Cloud Cream Moisturizer.

I started using skincare as a way to cope with the heaviness — and, for a lack of a better word, ugliness — of what’s happening around me in 2017. My husband started this year. Things have been rough, and it’s sadly been evident in our complexion. So we’ve been diligently following our skincare routine, which includes the Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Cream.

The Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Cream Moisturizer comes in a light blue jar that looks oh so refreshing.

Packaging

With an ombre blue jar and a silver lid, the Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Cream Hydrating Moisturizer is a refreshing sight. Inside the jar is a thinner lid, perhaps for sanitation. The down side? There’s no spatula.

Texture, scent and application

The moisturizer does have cloud-like texture... not that I've touched a cloud before, but you get the idea.

The brand claims this moisturizer’s texture is like that of a liquid cloud. I’ve never touched a cloud before nor am I sure that it can be liquid, but this does feel incredibly lightweight. It’s a pleasure to apply and gets absorbed easily by the skin. It also doesn’t have an unpleasant smell.

“There’s an organic quality to the scent,” my husband says. “It has a soft and almost watery texture, making it easy to spread across the skin.”

Claims and overall thoughts

The moisturizer is invigorating.

The moisturizer — which contains 30% Hyaluronic Acid Complex — promises 72 hours of hydration. For the uninitiated, hyaluronic acid is like a big drink of water for your face. Aside from that, it also makes skin look firmer and softens fine lines.

After a month or so of using it, I noticed that I don’t get dry patches on the sides of my nose anymore. My skin is also quite calmer.

Meanwhile, my husband says, “The cream is invigorating; it’s as if your skin instantly changes as soon as the cream hits it. My face has become clearer and more radiant since I started using the Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Cloud Cream. There’s an undeniable glow. My facial skin is also smoother and softer, like the cream itself never fades.”

The price tag is the only con I could think of, especially considering how small it is. It retails at P1,620 (20ml) at Sephora.ph. But I asked my husband to do the math for me and he says that’s actually just roughly P9 per person per application (we use it night and day, so that’s P36 a day) for six weeks, which, isn’t bad at all. So it’s something we’re considering repurchasing once we’ve run out.
