Wet N Wild Megalast Lipstick In Bare It All Is Everything

I always try to not write about products while I’m head over heels about them because I almost always change my mind about things. (Case in point: the Jordana Best Lash Extreme mascara.) But I’m making an exemption with the Wet N Wild Megalast Lipstick in Bare It All because I believe I won’t get tired of it or change my mind about it.

I still want to be subjective, though (despite being obviously smitten by the product). So, I’m going to give you a rundown of the product’s qualities and give a verdict based on the rubric I usually use when I’m reviewing: packaging, color and consistency, wear, and price.

Packaging

The Wet N Wild Megalast Lipstick in Bare It All (and the other colors from the line) come in a black tube with a transparent cap. The product does not go all the way down the tube, unless, of course, you’ve already used up the protruding part. It’s very lightweight, especially when you compare it with a MAC tube.

Color and Consistency

I was on the hunt for the perfect nude and was curious to try Wet N Wild’s products because I’ve read so many positive reviews on them. The Megalast line has been hyped for the longest time. And so I wanted to see if it lives up to it. I went to the brand’s stall at Landmark Trinoma and immediately got drawn to the shade. I made a swatch on the back of my hand, looked at it for a couple of seconds and asked for a new stock.

After paying for it, I went to the mall’s bathroom and put it on. And then my heart went aflutter. It was creamy and opaque. It glided on smoothly. It was a dream to apply! It’s a mix of peach and mauve. For people with fair skin, it might not be considered a nude, but on my skin tone it’s all sorts of wonderful. I wanted the perfect nude and I found it! It’s my new MLBB shade. (And it doesn’t hurt that it’s supposedly a dupe for MAC Velvet Teddy.)

Longevity

I don’t really expect a lot from lipsticks when it comes to wear, even if they claim to be longlasting, but I was surprised that this lived up to what it promised. It lasts the whole day on me (well, 6 hours max, but I’m never really out for that long). I even put this to the eating test and it survived. Some of it went off but it still performed better than I expected.

Price

In the U.S. it retails for $1.99, which is roughly P93.87 if you convert it. In stores here, however, it sells for P299 a tube. I’ve seen a couple of online shops that sell it for half the mall price, though.

Is the Wet N Wild Megalast Lipstick in Bare it All rad or bad?

I don’t think I still need to answer this. (Grab one now if you still don’t own one!)
