I’m completely aware that I’m no hot shot in the blogging world. This site’s page view numbers isn’t colossal. I can count on one hand the number of people I’m sure reads this blog, and they’re all my friends (or family members). This takes up space that could be used by something else more worthwhile.
See, the thing is: I took on a new job. I didn’t want to put it out there in writing because I am in the stage where, as Filipinos would call it, not regularized yet. But I wanted to somehow explain myself because this is still my little space on the web and I hope that it will continue to be so for at least one more year.
It’s hard to keep writing about beauty during my off time because finding out new trends, writing about them and editing writers’ pieces about them take a big chunk of my waking hours during weekdays. I am not complaining at all. I love my job! I wouldn’t have applied in the first place if I didn’t want to be doing what I do now. But man, I just want to dose off on weekends and do something else.
So I don’t know what’s gonna happen to this blog. I’m considering turning this into a personal site, but I’m sure many of the few readers I have are not exactly interested in learning about what goes on in my life. This is, after all, mainly a beauty blog. I’m also considering trying to write every once in a while. I still have lots to review for Sachet Series. There are still so many things in the beauty world that I want to explore. But do I still have the energy for it? After my absence, are there still people reading this?
If, by chance, you are here and you have been for a while and you think I should continue whatever I was doing here before I went off the grid, I’d love to know.
