Maybelline Color Show Nail Lacquer

Spread the love

Getting a manicure is at the bottom of my beauty priorities. I don’t give much thought about cut, color or finish as far as nails are concerned. That’s not to say, though, that I don’t care about my hands and nails at all. I make sure they’re clean, of course. I just don’t belong to the category of beauty enthusiasts who have racks and racks of lacquers and top coats and base coats and more.

It’s very rare for me to buy nail polish. In fact, the two pictured above were picked up by my sister. I gave them a try and here are my thoughts.

Packaging and Color Selection

The Maybelline Color Show Nail Lacquer has a wide array of color selection. The bottles are shaped differently from the ones I’ve seen my mother buy when I was a kid. Most of the ones produced here, I think, have a narrow opening and a wider bottom. The colors are engraved on the cap, as well as the product number.

Application and Wear

The Maybelline Color Show Nail Lacquer’s brush is wide, making it easier to apply the product. The product itself, however, leaves a lot to be desired. For P99 I expected it to be opaque enough to cover my nails with one layer. You need three layers to completely have no trace of your actual nail color.
Don’t fall for the promise of long wear either, because this chips easily. The longest I had this on was three days, if I remember it right.

Final Thoughts

Buy the Maybelline Color Show Nail Lacquer if you are one of these three: 1) a die-hard Maybelline fan who believes the brand can do no wrong, 2) you’re someone who only trusts big brands even though some indie brands produce higher quality items, or 3) you are rich and you don’t care about what you pay for.
