Maybelline Total Temptation Waterproof Mascara Review
No makeup look is complete without a coat of mascara (or false lashes for some). Defining the lashes just makes you look put-together without really exerting a lot of effort. With that said, I’m always on the hunt for a mascara that can do it all — volumize, lengthen and hold. The latest I’ve tried is the Maybelline Total Temptation Waterproof Mascara (Php399).
The Maybelline Total Temptation Waterproof Mascara comes in a fun, light teal tube that really stands out from your vanity. The down side is it easily gets dirty — nothing a wet wipe can’t fix, though.
This mascara’s wand is probably the biggest I’ve tried from Maybelline (although I haven’t tried many of their other offerings). Compared with the Hypercurl, this one’s is quite big and has a shape that’s similar to an eyebrow spoolie. The formula is a bit creamier compared with other mascaras, which I find to be a bit watery.
Application and results
I’ve always preferred length over volume for my lashes because I feel like my natural hairs are super short. With good curling, however, I just need a bit of definition and the Maybelline Total Temptation Waterproof Mascara delivers just that. I’m just a bit cautious when putting it on, though, because of the size of the wand. But I appreciate that the formula is creamy and that just one swipe is enough to volumize and define my lashes. I’ve tried layering it on, too, and have found that it doesn’t clump. The best part is it doesn’t smudge at all, even though I have sweaty undereyes. It also holds up the curl nicely, leaving you with fluttery-looking lashes all day long.
Removing it is quite a breeze despite being waterproof, perhaps because it contains coconut oil that’s supposedly meant to condition the lashes.
The Maybelline Total Temptation Waterproof mascara is available at Watsons stores and on Lazada.
