‘Twas A Mad Month / December 2015
Hello from the northernmost tip of the Philippines. And hello, 2016!
It seems like time swishes when you’re older. But I digress. This isn’t the space to ponder over lost time.
I managed to pack most of my tiny collection of beauty products in my checkered teal and white kit. I carried the kit from the apartment we call home to my husband’s childhood home, which was roughly 17 hours worth of land travel. But not once since we arrived here have I touched a piece from the kit. Part of it is because I have a pimple farm on my face, and my mind tells me that the bumps would double in number if I cover them up. The other part is because, well, I still rarely leave the house.
I still haven’t decided what to do with this space for the next year. I have plans, ideas. But we’ll see if 2016 will be the year that I get more courage to act upon my dreams.
While I can’t share what you can expect from this blog, I can give you a tour of what you may have missed in the past year.
I wasn’t here much in December and I only managed to put up six posts, which, come to think of it, isn’t actually that bad.
I was feeling a bit low at some point last month so I made a note to myself in the form of a list of five things to do when you don’t feel beautiful.
And then I wrapped the month up with a list of my favorite, favorite beauty bloggers.
Most of the time, I feel like this space is where I talk to myself about beauty and makeup and skincare and whatnot. Sometimes some of you will pop in, however, and remind me that I share a great deal of interest in the complicated world of beauty with a lot of people from all over the world. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and improving upon mine. Here are the things you read most from my little corner of the web.
It appears you like Kate Spade as much as I do. And you also like transitioning your look from day to night with one easy step. Some of you — a lot of you actually — wanted to know how October went for me, probably because that’s the time I switched from WordPress to Blogger. You also liked my pseudo spa day and my letter to my acne.
Thank you for your time. And I hope to see you here again this 2016. Happy New Year!
