As young professionals, we also share tips and tricks about handling finances and finding the right path to one’s dream career. We have a young daughter, so making sure we see her grow up healthy is a must; let’s take you on our road to being fit and healthy (in mind and body). We’re a young family and we’re still new to the nesting thing, so you’ll definitely some of our inspirations and shenanigans in interior decoration here, too. We love all kinds of art, so expect to see book, TV shows and movie reviews.
This site is run by Jorj Cornejo, who works as a deputy editor for a women’s lifestyle website headquartered in Singapore — but remotely. By night (and also by day and every other moment in between), she’s a wife to Yop and a mom to Cadence. When she’s not busy content planning, editing, and advertorial-writing (and being a mom and wife!), she takes a breather by telling stories here and making videos.
Most of the things you’ll see here are by Jorj but every now and then you’ll see stories by her husband, who is one of the best guitarists you’ll ever listen to (but also happens to be a great writer).
Why Mad Cherry?
Seven or so years ago, Jorj and her husband were watching a channel airing different US series. The ad for one show said “match airing”, which means the series will air here at the same time it’s airing in the US. Her husband misheard it and asked, “Babe, what’s mad cherry?” And the rest, they say, is history. Aside from its cute origin, this site was named after the misheard phrase because of this quote.
The only people for me are the mad ones, the ones who are mad to live, mad to talk, mad to be saved, desirous of everything at the same time, the ones who never yawn or say a commonplace thing, but burn, burn, burn like fabulous yellow Roman candles exploding like spiders across the stars.Jack Kerouac
